I created this blog for people to find comfort in their mental illnesses. For it to be a place where people feel safe. To share their thoughts, opinions, questions, and stories. A lot of the time people come to me and tell me that my blog saved their lives. It's crazy to think that about a random blog I created because I was going through things mentally and the only way I could fully heal was to let my emotions out but I only felt I could do that in an environment where I felt ok to share my life. It’s a place where I can break the stigma of mental health, and what we can do to create and raise awareness for people who are struggling every single day and fighting for their life. Mental health is a very taboo topic. A lot of people grow up differently and some homes recognize that we have challenges that life throws at us whereas other people might experience neglect of emotions. First and foremost I just want to say that having anxiety, being sad, wanting to be perfect, having negative thoughts, and having a plan are completely normal mental illnesses or not is normal. It's normal to cry, it's normal to struggle, and it's normal to want to live a perfect life. None of this is ordinary or weird it's just not talked about enough. Emotions are big and sometimes people are afraid to face their emotions and fears and that's OK, and that's valid. Anyways to the point, I created this page for many people to share their stories about how they struggled and how they wish they weren't here but how they persevered and we're so beyond brave to fight through their challenges and talk about the positives in life now. The stories are deep, they are raw, and this is my trigger warning. However, they are very real stories so, let’s have some respect. Many people decided to take part in this project where we create awareness for suicide prevention month which is every September. It's really important for somebody who also struggles with suicidal thoughts to have a safe place like this where we can come together and relate and be there for one another. But most importantly be proud of ourselves for where we've gotten in life and how much we have grown and learned from our struggles, our stories, and the people in our lives. At the end of the day we're just human beings trying to get through life day by day so if you're having a moment where you're not your best just remember that's a moment in time. it's not something that's gonna last forever. You're human, I'm human, we are human beings and as human beings, we are allowed to feel and we are allowed to express our emotions freely. And I hope that this place is a place where you can feel that and we can be there for one another.
